Will mortgage interest rates drop further

The Bank of England is still concerned that even though inflation is falling it is still too high.

Some experts suggest that we may have already hit peak interest rate, after the Bank of England decided to pause its hikes in September and November following a surprise fall in inflation to 6.7% in the year to August.

If inflation continues to fall, the majority of industry insiders are optimistic that the top mortgage rates could dip below 5% again.
